The rim views from our King Room were epic, making every morning feel like a postcard! Loved the organic fruits and made-to-order omelets at breakfast—nothing like quality local flavors to kickstart your day. The hotel is clean and manicured, making it easy to chill after a day of hiking.

If you're after modern amenities, the bed was a bit firmer than I like, and parking was tight.

The smoke wafting in from the fireplace by the entrance isn’t pleasant!!! A small fridge in the rooms would be a great addition to avoid food waste. Parking can be a challenge due to visitor center closures!!!

The Standard Quadruple Room was decent but nothing too fancy. It had blackout curtains which helped a lot, and I loved that it had a hair dryer and nice double door locks for security. However, parking was a bit of a hassle since the visitor center was closed. The best part? Waking up to that amazing view of Halema’uma’u Crater—it was a total dream!

Spent a magical night here, perfectly situated on the rim of Kilauea. The view from the room was jaw-dropping. catching glimpses of the lava glow was surreal! The on-site restaurant served delicious meals, and breakfast had an omelette bar that fulfilled all morning cravings.

Staying at this hotel offered an unmatched experience with direct access to stunning hiking trails and breathtaking views of the Kilauea caldera. The Rim Restaurant's diverse menu, especially the Irish soda bread, was a delightful surprise. However, limited parking availability was problematic due to the nearby visitor center closure, and the room's decor felt a bit dated. Additionally, the dining service could be more efficient as waits were longer than expected.

The Volcano House is a hidden gem with breathtaking crater views and a cozy atmosphere. The friendly staff and quality breakfast made the mornings enjoyable, but the lobby can get chilly due to the open doors, which might be uncomfortable during cooler evenings.
